In May 1981 Everton Legend Howard Kendall replaced Gordon Lee as manager of The Blues and promised us all an exciting future...The Likes of Alan Biley, Mick Ferguson and the unforgettable Glenn Keely soon had us all doubting Howards pledge. 

Apparently just days away from being sacked Howard had two last rolls of the dice and with bank loans from The TSB (True Story) he brought in aging crocks Andy Gray and Peter Reid to turn around the clubs fortunes and save his job....we doubted even more.

A Kevin Brock back pass later, those fortunate enough to be about at the time witnessed some of the best football ever played at home and abroad by our hero's The 80's Legends.
